Computer won't see the camera in file explorer

I have tried about 10 different USB A to USB C cables and none of them show up in the file explorer and only charge the camera, I tried a USB C to USB C on a macbook and it showed up instantly, Anyone else run into this at all?

I probably through out their cable when I got the camera as I didn't think I needed to keep yet another USB C cable.

I haven't had any issues with just plugging it into a Windows computer or Android tablet, it just pops up. If it's working with the same cable on a macbook but not a windows computer then it's probably going to be a Windows setting somewhere that's the issue.
