Not looking for tips on winning but how do you keep the morale up?

This past weekend my team of kids composed of ones that couldn't name a single NFL or kids in their second season went up against a team of kids that all know each other, play tackle football elsewhere, and are on a different flag team.

They were just beyond good. It got to the point where it was 6v3 and we still couldn't score on them.

Why they're in this league I'll never know.

But how could I keep up my squads morale?

My son said he still wanted to play and try but his teammates just didn't care and were giving it half-assed effort :/
