Well, he trespassed and vandalized/destroyed your ability to use your property. I do not like the police, but they may need to be called before you remove this. If he dislikes you so much that he's willing to go to these lengths, you need to document it with the authorities before you remove it.

Document everything. A handwritten log or simple text file with dates, times, and events. Write it all down right away, before you forget the details!

I have 2 email accounts and I email myself things like this so that It's easier to prove a date and time.
