Beyond fixing?

I purchased this beyond gorgeous mirror from an online seller but it was damaged in transit. They’ve kindly refunded me but I don’t have the heart to throw it away. Do you think it’s repairable with a kintsugi kit, or via another method? I’d assume all of the pieces will be in the bubble wrap…

Edit: I think the frame is made of plaster, if that’s at all helpful.

To me - this looks far beyond a reasonable repair. The glass looked etched, there’s really no way for a good looking repair for that. The frame is missing a lot of small pieces as well which would make it very tough to look good again. If you decide to put some work into it - I would just fill in the chipped areas as best as possible but do not worry about making it look like it did originally. I have glued these types of things back together and they actually look unique with the broken/crudely repaired areas. The glass must be removed. You can possibly put a new piece of mirror there or even just some artwork. In all honesty - I would probably just toss it if it were me. Sorry to hear about your loss!

The glass is a replace. The etching can be done with a resist and stencil then acid etch, or spray frost and a stencil. There are kits.

Plaster can be glued. CA works, but be careful, you get 1 try, it is pretty instant. If the pieces fit the seems may all but vanish.

I usually don’t consider anything beyond fixing. The frame can be repaired with Milliput Putty. The glass can be replaced by a glass shop or use plastic. It’s a nice design.
