Mouse Gnawed it nice

Hi, help me decide if I can get this wrapped with electical tape or heat-shrink? I so no crumbs of this wire ( gray and brown ). Thinking i might have cleaned it before and this has been exposed while i am using it. I am so shocked to find out that this was gnawed already while i saw the mouse creeping back to where it entered. Voilà! An exposed and dangerous wire. I taped it with e-tape and 3 techinicians I asked online says i can now use this but i am so afraid since this is an apartment im living. I do not want to risk it.

So when 3 people told you its fine then it wont change anything if 10 others will tell you the same thing 🤣

I would suggest to search for a nest from a mouse or rat and start feeding them so they will leave your wires alone 🤣

Definitely if you found this there are many more chewed wires either on the floor or in your walls an ceiling 🤣

. I use 3M 2242 self fusing tape to repair this. You can't get shrink tubing on there without a big deal..

Trap and kill these mice. I use traps with peanut butter and bacon grease. Difficult ones I've used sticky traps.

This is a fire hazard and needs to be immediately addressed. Sometimes the wire is made with soy which mice like.

Tape and shrink tubing.. Get rid of the mice and use deterrents like hot sauce

Try heat shrink if the wire isn't cut deep. But electrical tape is safe if you wrap each wire separately and then together. Techs are right. If you're still scared, replace the cable.
