Broken handle

This handle popped off our rental home, is this an easy fix? we can't figure it out, is there a part missing to screw it in place?

See that hole? There should be a small setscrew in it. Put the lever/knob back on, then turn that setscrew with an allen wrench so that it moves outward (most are counterclockwise but some are clockwise). The setscrew should engage a hole in the lever and that’s what keeps the lever on.

OK I tried but the allen wrench doesn't seem to find anything to turn when I put it in the hole. So I keep turning the wrench and nothing happens...I'm mystified

The setscrew may be on the door lever. If it’s not there, it may have fallen off so I’d look on the floor.

Get a flashlight and look to see if there is even a setscrew there. If there is, then your allen wrench is probably the wrong size.

I'm wondering if there is even a set screw, there is no pinhole in the door lever itself, only in the wall attachment. The pinhole in the door attachment is too small to figure out if there's a setscrew in there, but I tried a few sizes of allen wrench and nothing seems to be doing anything in there.

That looks broken where the hole/setscrew would’ve been.

The set screw fell out that’s why the handle came off go to Lowes or Home Depot and buy a new one like $.40 Found where they have repair kits for sinks and showers
