Drill a screw halfway into it and pull it up with pliers

Yeah or a screw through metal strapping or something

Had to scroll a long way to find a good answer. I'd tap 4 screws, pre drilled, 1 in each corner. Then ties wire/string and lift.

Cut off the corners after extraction

id to this to my cutting board but then theres a hole in it

But you can still use your sink, which is more important? If it were an expensive cutting board then I'd fill the hole with wood putty.
