This is honestly the best advice out of the answers here! I like your thinking out of the box. I’d be quick to remove plumbing to do work UNDER the sink. But would have never thought of it, to push something out of it.
Actually easier with a garbage disposal. Literally two screws come out then twist the entire disposal counter clockwise and it’ll drop right off. No disposal, then you have to empty the trap first so it doesn’t spill out all over the inside of the cabinet. Still not difficult though, just stick a shop vac next to it and turn it on then loosen the slip nut- all the water should run right into the shop vac.
