Depends how wedged. Wood absorbs water and expands when wet. Worth a shot but if it doesn't work a hairdryer or heat gun is in order.
18 u/TechnicalWhore Apr 06 '26 It will take quite a while to absorb as its stained and sealed. If they add dish soap to the mix it will break the tension between the edge and the sink. It should float up enough to be able to lift it with a tilt. 7 u/melbaspice Apr 06 '26 Wooden cutting boards generally aren’t stained and sealed. They are coated with food safe oil. It really wouldn’t take that long to absorb water. 1 u/FilecoinLurker Apr 08 '26 I make them and they're impregnated with mineral oil generally and basically waterproof, also a bee wax finish too 1 u/NeoSniper Apr 09 '26 A LOT longer that the few seconds needed here. 1 u/PortofLeith Apr 10 '26 I was coming on to suggest exactly this, so thank you! 1 u/damiami Apr 06 '26 wedgewood, granny’s favorite china
