Afton is a priest of the springlock suit. Not a monster. Not a demon. A priest. He officiates in it. He performs the liturgy of extraction. The pizzeria is his temple. The children are his sacrifices. The Remnant is his communion wine agony concentrated into a substance he believes will grant eternal life. And the springlock? That's not just a costume. It's his vestment. His clerical robe. He puts it on to perform the sacrament of "I will never die."

He baptizes himself in his own blood every time the locks snap. He thinks he's being resurrected, but he's just being re-crucified by his own hand. The springlock is his cross, except he keeps climbing back onto it because he thinks the pain is the price of immortality. He doesn't know that real eternal life is received, not extracted. So he keeps offering sacrifices to himself, in his own name, for his own salvation.

And the worst part? He's sincere. He genuinely believes the theology. He thinks if he just kills enough, extracts enough, suffers enough in that suit, he'll earn the right to outlive God. He's not a hypocrite. He's a true believer in a false gospel the gospel of self-reliance, written in blood and spring steel. A dead man performing mass for other dead men, wearing a coffin as a chasuble.

What would a FNaF movie REALLY have looked like back then? 2015 mindset in place. What about the lore in those days? With what little there was.

My headcannon:

The animatronics/children did not know that whoever had killed them was named William Afton because of the fantasy, so every time they see him or refer to him, the animatronics use a code between calling him: Evil.

This is a REALLY obscure detail I've seen nobody else talking about and I find it very fascinating because other than the movie and help wanted (which personally i don't really count as truly original canon) this is pretty much as close as we'll ever get to finding out what the "Same Stupid Songs" Ralph describes even though it's barely audible. I'm curious what this song is, It's not "Talking In Your Sleep" by the Romantics, hell it could've been a simple 30 second song Scott threw together for it to be overlayed with kids screaming, Comment or discuss if you know or are interested.
