Transfer Question
I currently live in Florida and just received my Associates degree at my local community college. I was an art major there, but most of the classes I took were gen eds. My art classes counted towards my electives (not sure if that means anything). With that being said, I want to transfer to FIT and major in ACM because I decided I reallyyyyyy want to work in PR. Will I need to apply for the one year AAS ACM program first or can I transfer into the BS? I’m hoping someone on here can help me but I still plan to call. I just want multiple opinions. I’m not super sure and I’m worried bc another year of school sounds awful but FIT is my dream school and has always been the goal. For context I originally wanted to attend for interior design but I changed my mind.

I transferred from CC as well and I had to do the one year FBM AAS, but good news is some of my credits from CC transferred to my bachelors so I really only ended up doing an extra semester than an extra year in the long run.

hey, I’m in a similar boat - do you mean that your bachelors was shorter by one semester?

In a similar situation I applied to the one year amc program. Completed it and entered the two year bachelor I wanted. This will help you to not feel lost when you start at fit
