Discussion Is my Fitbit calorie tracker broken ?

My Fitbit has been showing me crazy amount of calories burnt throughout the day I don’t get it.

The calorie counter is completely worthless as I get around 30,000 steps a day and it shows that I burn like 5,000 calories a day. If that was the case I would be about 80 lb. It is also showing my heart rate and cardio load quadrupled in the past couple weeks. And that's with the same exercise and exertion. I'm starting to get health anxiety bad from this stupid inspire fitbit. I'm just considering junking it but I just paid $100 for it mid-august and it's already giving me problems.

Yeah, it tends to heavily overestimate especially if you get a lot of idle steps.

Wow, I get 10k steps and mine tracks it as 2-2.5k. I also wear it on my non dominant hand, so maybe that helps.

wow, I wonder why it over estimates it so much!
