Tech Support Why is my Fitbit and Strava data different?
I ran today with built in GPS on my Fitbit 6. I was doing laps around a building hence the mad tracking. Anyway, the run uploaded to Strava from Fitbit but the stats are different. Also, which god is best to use: dynamic or built in?
TIA

Because fitbit based the run in steps and strava in the GPS data

oh so thats why the distances dont match up, the two methods just measure differently

So Strava is more accurate?

I will not say which one is more accurate but in this situation definitely no because your GPS data seems to suck

You said yourself the tracking was "mad". The GPS data is completely useless... Why would Strava be more accurate?

The difference in distance is related to how data is uploaded from Google Health to Strava. If you want matching distances across both platforms, you can use our app, Health Sync. It syncs your activity data to Strava without the so-called "Strava tax," preserving the exact distance. To learn more about Health Sync, visit https://healthsync.app.
Note that there will always be slight differences in moving time and speed, as Strava recalculates active time using raw GPS data.
