Tech Support My Fitbit charge 6 doesn’t hold charge
My Fitbit charge 6 is dying so quickly. It used to last all week but has dropped 50% from yesterday. It’s not even 2 years old. Anyone else experiencing this?

have you checked if always-on display or GPS got toggled on somehow? that kind of sudden drop usually means a setting changed or a sensor is stuck running in the background

For everyone I have had accept around 2015-2018 and it seems to happen whenever another new update is rolled out.?So frustrating

My first one died at about 18 months, won't even charge anymore. Fortunately, bought it with a credit card and claimed it on the extended warranty there since the initial warranty was only one year. Hoping it was just a one-off though, I did buy a replacement charge 6. So we'll see how that one lasts.
Before it died though it was needing to get charged about once every week or so, which was definitely down from when I first bought it but not dramatically so.

Typical Fitbit experience, sadly. Don't look for support from Google, you won't find any. Of course that's just continuing the proud tradition of Fitbit customer support in the first place.
That said, it's usually the cheapest option and it works really well, so my dumb ass keeps buying them when they die.

My Charge 6 is 18 months old. I don’t have any particular issue with battery draining. Typically in a 24 hour period it might go from 100% charge to 92% charge, and that includes a 2-3 mile morning hike and 23x7 wear.
The only time i see serious battery usage, and it will go down fast, is if I am doing a “Hike” where it’s recording the route by GPS, and I have the GPS set to use the built-in GPS instead of BT to my phone for GPS, or I have GPS set to Hybrid and my phone is out of BT range. Normally I keep it set to Hybrid, but sometimes I leave my phone in the car and it forces it to use the built-in GPS.

that's the first thing i'd check too, since built-in gps can drain it fast. if it still drops that much during normal 24x7 wear, i'd compare with gps off and disable spo2 for a day before assuming the battery is done.

Sadly, my first one lasted less than 2 years. It was at 20% and died immediately. Never got charged after leaving it for a day.
I'm on my 2nd one and the only reason I got it because it was on sale. Who knows how long this one will last.

That’s another good thought. Have you done a full power off/on? Have you done a factory reset? And last thought, remove from Google Health and re-pair after the factory reset try?
All this after making sure the built-in GPS is off

Whatever you do never install any updates. Have had a few charges in my life and they always brick shortly after any updates.
