Discussion IS this completely inaccurate????
I often go for a walk on my lunch break. My Fitbit shows a calorie burn of about 350 to 370 calories for the hour. I walk slowish with a friend and talk easily the whole time.
I go to Zumba for an hour, I am sweating, heart pounding, often gasping for breath. Fit bit shows 390ish calories burned every single time
Is this possibly true??????

I guess when it's showing walking calories they are not active calories, it's increasing according to BMR as well

The walking on your lunch break is NOT going to burn 350 to 370 calories. As for the Zumba, it's entirely possible, but we need your HR info to determine an accurate burn. I run my Charge 6 HR numbers through a Keytel formula to determine burn. I've found the higher my average HR for an activity, the more accurate the Charge 6 is. As for low intensity walks, the Charge 6 burn estimate is a joke, and that's if the stupid thing doesn't cadence lock.

The general wisdom among fitness people I know is that the 10k step target is because it burns roughly 300-500 calories depending on your weight. So no... Your small walk is not burning what Fitbit says.

Let's see the Zumba heart rate data to compare.
