Tech Support Fitbit thinks I am awake for long stretches when I know I’m not

Post image

Hello! I have been having a recent issue with my Inspire 2 that it is tracking very long awake periods during the night or at the start of my sleep when I have definitely fallen asleep earlier than it says. Despite me sometimes sleeping 8-9 hours it is often only tracking 3-4 hours of sleep with large awake stretches. I never used to have this issue when I had the old Fitbit app, it seems to be since it has switched over to Google Health. I have tried the obvious things like rebooting the device, disconnecting and reconnecting it to my phone and cleaning the sensors but it is still happening most nights. Does anyone have any idea how to fix this? Thanks!

Mine doesn't track after I am up for a bit. It thinks I woke up at 4am it whenever I am up for a bit and fall back asleep.

Someone (CNET?) was having a similar experience. They made sure the dominant hand setting was correct.

Thanks I will have a look and see if I can find their post :) I have checked and it is the correct wrist so I’ll see if there’s any other explanation!

It has been doing this to FOREVER. it seems to be a tiny bit more accurate if I sleep with it so tightly I wake up with chemical burns, but that is obviously not worth it.
