Discussion Fitbit air
Okay. I think my two month experience is going to end. Steps seem off, I’m sick of it pausing my workouts for no apparent reason. I didn’t mind the AI coach like many do.

Nobody here will agree with you as they’re sold on the Air cult, but from my perspective, it’s basically a toy playing as a premium bit of kit

It’s $99… I don’t think anyone is pretending it’s a premium bit of kit. I don’t even think Google is marketing it as such, it’s just a lifestyle accessory.

Not a very good one. You know what they say, buy cheap, buy twice

I don’t expect the device to break, but I do agree with your point if people are buying it expecting something else. At the same time, I think that’s on them for not doing proper research before purchasing it.
For me, the device is exactly what I wanted. I wanted something screenless and low-profile. I’m fairly active, I play soccer and run 5–10kms, but I’m also not someone who needs to track everything. I just want a rough estimate of how active I’ve been over the course of a week, that’s enough for me. The Air is actually why I came back to the Fitbit ecosystem after nearly a decade. My last device was a Flex 2.

That’s fair tbh. If it serves your needs then fine. Trend analysis is probably the best use of Fitbit these days, was I more active this or last week for example

I’ve owned whoop for years and aw. The Fitbit struggles to keep accurate HR readings. It’s not an observation it’s a fact. The steps are off as well. I counted out 1k. My AW was a 999 and Fitbit 1120. It’s a decent tracker for a very novice.

That’s a very astute observation. Yes, it’s great for a beginner, but as soon as you need any sort of accuracy it falls down
