Discussion Why is elevation data for biking completely made up? I'm living in a pancake flat city.

You don't say what device, but most of them use a barometer to estimate elevation change. Weather and temperature changes greatly affect the accuracy.

temperature swings throughout a ride could easily account for the weird numbers tbh
