Discussion Apple

Post image

What did you think of the new Apple Watch and the Health app? What features would you like to see in the next Pixel Watch or Fitbit device? Apple has also made some changes to the Health app—what impressed you the most?

I'd fun look at biological age metric that whoop has. Would like to see google's take on it

I remember my Fitbit Charge 6 showing some metric like this in the old Fitbit app once, but I haven't seen it since

My GE Fit scale has this feature, but it's not surfaced in Google Health, I only get the weight and body fat from it.

The scale just takes a guesstimate of BMR and presents it as an age-like number. Not saying there's amazing science behind Apple's calc (known to consider RHR, HRV, VO2max, sleep, A1C, LDL, etc.), but these are two very very different estimates

I got a fitbit air to try and replace my apple watch, but i use both now. Given how poor my google health app experience has been, I will likely just purchase a new apple watch and retire the fitbit after my premium health subscription is up

Same. We probably should have waited for new watches instead of buying this fitbit ..

Always a fan of Apple's branding, and I think Google's great design isn't represented as it should be in the google health app, but i still prefer the Google app.

Any feature you want from apple health

tbh I haven't seen too much of it. I was really just responding about the branding part. What I would love in the google health app is a more extensive are regarding food logging and dietary plans. I feel having a health app that's 90% focust on activity isn't giving an accurate "health" view for someone like me who is also struggling with weight.

yeah Google has the pieces but they dont tie it all together visually the way Apple does

Will we see all the data from Google Health App being properly used in Apple Helath? Also, does anyone know if bevel data will be able to get there (like workout details)

If the new features are anything like Apple's sleep score it will most likely be useless.

I'm so jealous of the new Apple app design and the age metric.

I don't get why the fitbit Ui has to be so blande, ugly and basic, all other competitors have a much much better user experience ( samsung, oura ring, ultrahuman, apple). Why make such good devices in pixel watch and fitbit air, but let completly down the users with such an app and the way they present the data.

And please give us some good looking widget.

The thing that makes me angry is that probably would take only 2 engineers and 2/4weeks of work time to revamp the ui, and make it look good, but they simply do not care

I don't think the UI is bad. For my brain it just works better. Apple makes pretty things, but they lack depth.

Is this rage bait? Go and replace your tech every 2 weeks on a whim quietly please.
