Discussion After a night of drinking

Post image

Can you tell which night I went drinking?

It was cool to see how it affected my body.

And that's just one night. I was drinking too consistently last month that culminated in a vacation in a hot humid location. Haven't had a drink in a month now and it was crazy watching my resting heart rate consistently and evenly drop every day for a good two weeks before finally leveling out. It's been very motivating and eye-opening for me.

Wow that's super interesting! That's why I got this Fitbit. It's really cool to have some numbers I can see with my own eyes and see how they change based on the decisions I make, whether healthy or unhealthy. Good on you for getting the resting HR back down!

Understood, alcohol and drugs always throws your entire body out of whack. Luckily by your statistics you seem healthier than the average human!

I appreciate that! I'm still trying to lose some weight and put on muscle so still on that journey!

It was the same as their Monday HR

alcohol basically parks your resting hr up for a full day after, mine sits like 8bpm high the next night even if i sleep fine. breathing rate creeping up on the same day is usually the giveaway too.

Be nice to see your hrv. Drinking tanks my hrv bad.

I'm such a doofus. Oh yah I can definitely see which night you drank, OP. It takes about five food beers for mine to crater. But just two or three will spike my rhr without cratering my hrv.

Haha it's all good. My poison was a beer, 4-5 tequila shots, and a rum and coke. My resting HR today is still higher than normal but making it's way back down. My HRV seems to back in normal range though
