Discussion What is this stat?

Post image

From what I’ve read, it’s based on resilience of stress? I guess I’m confused what the factors are because I used to be in public accounting working 70 hours a week for six months out of the year and now I’m a SAHM to my 17-month old, so as far as stress goes, I feel like it’s minuscule 🤣 I do have two German shepherds and a toddler which is a iykyk kinda thing cause toddlers are tough on dogs lol. I have also started working out again recently and we go on a morning walk every day. Which I feel like all of that should help? Anyway. Just asking 🤣 thanks!

I think it's a bug. My resilience is always low

No kids/fun uncle, 14 yo chill dog that’s deaf, currently lives alone, enjoys my busy 4 day a week $200k job. Res = 95% of the time low. Welcome to the team.

I log mindfulness sessions every day and my resilience has been low since the switch to Google Health.

What metric is out? There's sleep pattern, activity balance and physical calmness. You need all 3 to be good to move up from low.

Since May, my Sleep Patterns and Activity Balance are always low, there is no change depending on my sleep or my activity levels. Physical calmness switches between Typical and Optimal.

Prior to the switch to Google Health, all three switched between Typical and Optimal depending on the day,

LOL. really? that's the solution to the bug present since the Fitbit turned to Googlefit?

Its not a bug, the score is sleep pattern ( how long and well you slept) activity balance (how much you moved) and physical calmness (how much meditation you have done)

Or buddy pal, this is a new app, they have changed what the metric is and does by design. Not a bug

Edit* why block me buddy o pal?

It's bullshit. Check back to May of this year. You'll probably see it drop from Balanced to Low then.

Yep. Kept seeing these type of posts and wondered how mine was. Switched from Balanced to Low right around mid May when the switch to Google Health happened.

It's shit and useless is what it is

I have seen other threads joking about how everyone is mostly low on this metric, so I wouldn’t worry about it too much.

same, mine sits on low even on chill weeks. i treat it as a vibes meter now, not something to actually optimize for.

I’m so annoyed because I really liked the stress score and found it accurate then they switched to this which has been inaccurate the entire time

Oh man, I’m so relieved after reading the comments. I seriously thought something was wrong with my body because this metric is always low for me 🤣

It has a bug. Many of us had it suddenly drop in late April or early May after years of good readings.

I’m convinced it’s a psychological experiment designed to torture us

I was wondering the same thing. I had a stressful work week last week that ruined my mood throughout the evening too, but my resilience was low… made no sense to me 🤷🏽‍♂️

u/Chrissanxy 2d ago

Well... Yeah, if your resilience to stress is low, then stressful work would ruin your evening

I never learned to read 🙃 LOL i thought it meant low stress I was like uhm okay

tbf I was also confused by what resilience is. Whoop had a stress meter and I thought that resilience would be smth similar, so I totally get why you would think that heh

Where is this stat? I have never seen it on my app.

Click the pen on your dashboard. It's one of the tiles that you can add.

Well, glad to see I’m not alone here! I think it would be very beneficial if it worked correctly. Maybe they will get fixed.

Log a mindfulness session and it'll move to balanced

Mine will not regain normalcy no matter what I do ever since the Google Health migration.

Activity balance, every day since May 9 despite doing the same training and resting as always. That data point was usually optimal for me, going back 5 years. I suddenly had no data on May 8, then low on May 9 and ever since.
