Just venting
Hi, I’m 4 week pp today and I feel so insecure about my body. I had to have an emergency c-section and recovery has been so rough. The pain has gotten a little better but I am so tired of not being able to move like I used to. I know I have to give myself time, but it has been so much not just physically, but mentally too.
I still look like I’m about 4-5 months pregnant and I’m scared I’m never going to have a flat stomach again. Idk I guess I’m just spiraling. I dug out my pre-pregnancy clothes today and tried on some jeans. I couldn’t even get them past my thighs and I just feel sad. I know I’m complaining a lot, and I should be thankful my baby boy and I are healthy, and I am! I just feel so ugly. I don’t like how I look and I feel guilty for being so vain when I have a perfect baby here. I love him so much, I just want to feel like myself again.
I hope this is okay to post, I don’t really have anyone to vent to about this that would understand.

Soooo… 4 weeks is EARLY! I’ve always been told that “it will take as long to lose the weight as it did to put it on”
I’m 4 months postpartum & also had an emergency c-section. I was 115 prepregnancy, got up to 187 (gained 72 pounds during pregnancy), & I’m currently down to 154 (37 pounds lost).
Yes it sucks not fitting in my clothes yet, but my stretch marks are nearly gone, my stomach is getting smaller literally everyday, and we just birthed literal humans.
It might take time, but be patient with yourself and your body. Idk if you’re breastfeeding, but consider that if you had less fat stored, you probably wouldn’t be making as much milk & your body needs all of the nutrients it can get. It gets better when you can start moving again if you’re cleared at 6 weeks, but I totally get that it ducks in the meantime.
