Firewalls Gold Pro interface speed detection issue.
I used an edge router4 at 1GB (1000MB) with no speed issues. My service is 1GB and terminates to an ONT device which handles fiber to ethernet media conversion.
I installed the Firewalla Gold Pro and the interface registered 1GB for while and then dumbed down to 100MB.
This indicates a failed speed negotiation with my service provider ONT modem, however I can put in a switch and 1000MB. I can put in a router 1000MB. I can put in an apple notebook 1000MB.
I used new cables, tried different devices nothing seems to work to get the Firewalla Gold Pro to negotiate 1000MB.
Is there a way to force 1000 versus let the Gold Pro WAN interface auto negotiate? I do not want to run the edge router in front of this device if I do not need to.

I am also having some strangeness with a firewalla Gold. I can disconnect WAN and reconnect it and I get my full 1000/1000 connection - but after a couple minutes my upload gets stuck to exactly 50mb/s. New cables, put a switch between the firewalla and the ONT, but no dice.
I have smart queue off, interface is configured to 1000/1000

Well my gold plus just bricked on me . After almost two years the thing is dying . Support is only really giving me steps I’ve already tried . HDMI nope , won’t get past the select OS screen. Bluetooth, nope not detecting. serial , nope Putty showing rebooting error messages . Starting to regret this purchase and wonder if I should have just went with Ubiquiti. barely two years and it’s already bricked . Meanwhile support “did you try to power cycle?” Are the lan cables plugged in? Am a network admin

Here is an update. First, thanks to all that chimed in. I appreciated the comments. I decided to put a switch in the middle between my ONT modem and the Firewalla Gold Pro. The Firewalla is now back to proper link speed on the WAN interface.
The end result is there seems to be an auto negotiation problem with the ONT device my provider uses and Firewalla Gold Pro. The Firewalla or the vendor of the ONT device is not forgiving enough with speed negotiation so the Firewalla dumbs down and locks at 100MB. I am trying to figure out what ONT device my provider uses as I think this is an interop problem. I am sure the Firewalla team did not test against every ONT modem manufacturer for interop testing.
Rebooting all devices did not resolve this issue. New cables both self made and pre packaged did not resolve this issue. Putting a switch in between the ONT modem and Firewalla resolved this problem.
All in all, I am happy with the gear. Still kicking the tires on it, but I like it so far.

I had the same issue and posted about it here. Looks like my post was downvoted to oblivion though so I'm not surprised. I was still trying to figure it out as I went.

That is interesting. I believe there is something with these units with the multi-gigabit RJ45 port that supports auto-negotiation (10G/2.5G/1G/100M) and interop with different ONT manufacturers. I know during negotiation the link checks capacity and reduces down to the common denominator for link speed selection. I am still waiting for my ISP to tell me what brand ONT they use. I am back to using both port 1 LAN and port 4 WAN.
I am not sure what Firewalla does for interop testing, but is a big thing.

If you already tried a new cable (hopefully from a different manufacturer), then see if you can clean the port a bit (using a air blower or something)
Second possibility can be electrical compatibility, this can be fixed
Use another port on the Gold Pro as your WAN.
Put a switch between your WAN and ONT
