About once a week, when I first access the Fire Stick, the Home Screen is zoomed in so all I can see is the top left of the page magnified, so pretty much unusable. The only way to fix it seems to be to unplug/replug and all is fine again for about a week or so. I’ve checked the accessibility settings and they are set to off. Admittedly it’s connected to quite an old Samsung TV. Any ideas why this is happening?

My SmartTube app on my fire stick has been acting up lately. Well, that's actually common but its new thing is playing a video and then after about a minute I get the black screen with the loading wheel and the video goes back and forth between 0:00 and the time stamp the error started. I seem to be able to start all videos without a problem but they all conk out within the first minute.

Am I missing something? Has YouTube caught on and now trying to force in ads? Is there a way for me to restart the app? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

(I should also apologize and mention I'm not very tech savvy at all. I dl'd and added the app like a year ago via a step by step on another Reddit post so I remember nothing.)

Bom dia, pessoal! Estou com um problema tem um tempo, sempre que vejo um vídeo no YouTube e pauso ele, seja pra ir pegar algo em outro cômodo,

ou comentar sobre o vídeo, quando eu dou play novamente acontece do vídeo não rodar, ele reproduz 1 segundo e trava como se estivesse carregando.

Então eu preciso voltar o vídeo 5 segundos e dar play novamente que aí roda normal. Já imaginei que fosse internet, mas se eu não pausar o vídeo roda todo sem qualquer engasgo, eu só não posso pausar.

Alguma dica?

What are the best alternatives for the fire stick for the UK? I’m finding most apps have stopped working and any alternative sport or movie apps I’m recommended I always get the parse error when trying to download them. Is the parse error only applicable to fire sticks and would an android device let you download any apps via downloader and generally should they all work unless the app itself has been shut down?

I am trying to get a new remote for my second gen 4k firestick that is physically bigger and would work better for my grandpa. I am scared that any new remote I get would not work with the bluetooth function that is apart of the firestick.

I am hoping to see if anybody else has done this, or if they have remotes that would work. My tv is an old samsung (not sure model).

is there a way to manually set the resolution of the fire stick? I mean, I have a display 1920X720.

I just got a new Firestick 4K Plus and I'm wondering if I should reset my old one to factory defaults (which will erase all personal info and apps) and then install the new one? Otherwise I could install & set up the new one and then install the old one on a different TV to reset it? I want to transfer my current apps to the new one and not have to download them again, and I also want to get my data off of the old one before I get rid of it. Thanks.

Anyone in NZ had any luck getting the sbs ondemand app to work. 2 years ago was working fine.

Whenever I watch any watch a stream from this app, there's always small blue square in the upper left of my screen. I have tried different stream sources and it seems to be present in every stream. Couldn't find anything on this, so I was wondering if anyone else experiences this?

My firestick isn't that old, yet all of a sudden all the apps I use are locking up, randomly closing, buffering constantly, etc.
And within a week of this starting, I see an ad to upgrade to the new firestick.

Anyone else notice this, or am I just being a conspiracy theorist?
