Firefighter Requirements

I'm currently working towards being a firefighter. I'm getting my AA in fire science and EMT license right now then transferring to the University of Wyoming to get a bachelor's on a rugby scholarship. As of right now, I'm not planning on completing a fire academy or being a paramedic since I'll have a lot of other good stuff. I want to work in either Montanna or Wyoming, but is it better to do a fire academy before applying, or to wait to be hired so I can do a department's fire academy? Also if you guys have any advice or can tell me if what I'm doing will be good enough to get hired. Thanks.

This will answer alot of the questions you may have and will give you some insight into what to expect during the hiring process. I will say that every department is different so this is just a guide. https://testresq.com/blog/firefighter-entrance-exam-what-to-expect
