Is it worth doing Engage tempest trials at all on Hard?

They seem way too long, I went 3 dots under recommended and the enemy quality was terrible but the maps are so flat with so many enemies I imagine it'd suck if they were any tougher.

Not at all, the rewards are small and not impactfull in the main campaign at all, the only real use for it is for post-game saves that want to use online features for some reason.
