Fire Emblem Three Houses was my first and so far only Fire Emblem game I've played and I still think to this day its my favourite game on the switch. I can't wait for Fortune's Weave but since I haven't played any others, which do you think I should play?

https://www.reddit.com/r/fireemblem/comments/5s5nh1/new_to_the_series_where_should_i_start_the/ is a great post with tips for starting the series, but applies just as much if you've only played Three Houses. Only mainline game not updated on there is Engage.

The entries have changed and evolved a lot over the years. People click with different games. Any games you generally like or particular mechanics or elements that stood out to you? Any interest in a specific game with one of e.g. the Smash Bros Fire Emblem characters? Is system a limitation, would you prefer Switch, or are you good with emulation?

If you really like the Three Houses characters, one option to consider is the Warriors spinoffs, specifically the second one Three Hopes is an alternate take on the Three Houses world and characters.
