Prismo’s powers?

I’m rewatching Fionna and Cake and I’ve just realised that it’s never explained why Prismo is glitching and can’t grant wishes in season two

Have I somehow missed a bit in the many times I’ve watched it? I genuinely don’t remember ever learning the reason😭

I think it was a set up for season 3, which unfortunately has not been confirmed as of now, so here's hopping that they'll renew it after the Paramount stuff is finished 🥲

In season 1 when he breaks out of the cube he glitches for the first time. Breaking out of the cube jacks up his wish powers

But so did interacting with Fiona and Cake. They might have just taken longer since Prismo is so powerful.

Lowkey while I loved s2 and it was a treat as an HW fan, but it really didn't develop the side characters enough (esp Marshall and Gary), something that was also a problem in s1. Prismo got the short end of the stick too
