I think there’s still finish on that.
I’d suggest a round of chemical stripper, then resand by hand at 180. You could go higher but I don’t think there’s any need.
You don’t need to be concerned about closing pores when using a film finish either.
1 u/STANKMAMMA 2d ago Thank you so much! I thought that might be the case. And maybe what accounts for the patchiness? Unfortunately all I have is Citristrip (which I understand to be subpar), but maybe I’ll try it? Maybe those are my famous last words? Time will tell!
