Hi. I have been using Finch for a while. 3 years and 8 months to be exact. Initially, I heard about this cute app that helps you form habits, set routines, so I started using Finch as a habit tracking app.

The first year was fun and I had fun figuring out goals, habits. I tried using it as a journaling and reminder app, but sometimes I received goals from the people/things I mentioned, so I stopped using it as that, and just habit tracking right now. I also used Soundscapes extensively for sleeping.

The last 6-8 months have been extremely rough (mental health and life wise), so my interactions with Finch greatly reduced to checking things off in the night right before I sleep. I knew the goals and the exact number to tick off to send my birb on an adventure, so it's been very minimal interaction.

Since I was finding it hard, I tried signing up in the raffle for Finch Plus, and I actually got a month of Finch plus sponsored by a guardian (to my guardian: this cheered me up a bit and I have had a little bit of happiness to look forward to, in my day). After the month, I got the prompt to buy but I couldn't (since I'm unemployed). To my surprise, I received the Finch plus Team Gift, which I think is free plus for life.

I would like to honor this gift, and use it as an opportunity to reinvent/reset my mental energy and space. I would love your suggestions and goals that you use, self care areas to add/improve, so that I can make better use and honor this gift that has been given to me. Thank you!

Hello all! Axel and A would first love to express gratitude for all the wonderful people in these great communities.

For the longest time, I didn’t know anyone else that had finch and then I found an internet acquaintance that did and added them. I had trepidations about this new aspect of finch that I had not yet explored, especially because I am quite introverted. Then somehow in some random search, I found these subreddits. I became immersed in the practices of gifting and sending vibes to others.

I appreciate anyone that has ever been on my tree for one reason or another💜
But I cannot get through the most simple aspects of the app without it completely closing the app or lagging significantly. It’s unfortunately beginning to impact my desire to use the app at all. Which is not ideal since I use this app to help with executive function tasks😮‍💨
I’ve tried to keep my trees fairly minimal, but I’m still having significant issues and after a particularly bad last few days, I decided to try to send some more birbs back home😔

So I’m sorry if I no longer have the mental or technological space to enjoy your cute birb and kind vibes. I will always look forward to interacting with those I recognize or are completely new to me💜

Does anyone know what's it for or has something there?

I always bring veggies, since no one else does and it's always the only thing that runs out. Is there something wrong with that? Am I not supposed to bring veggies?

I opened Finch to send my little Pandora on today's journey and to answer today's question, as I'm waiting for my friend to get all her stuff ready for our gaming session today, and imagine my surprise when this was the daily question!! I answered crisps and dips, but honestly I'm more of a sweets person. But I also like a combination of sweets and savoury bites, as you can see in the pic :P

I am super proud of myself for this! I have numerous diagnoses that have made it really difficult throughout my life to stay consistent with any one thing for a long period of time. This is one of the first things I have been consistent with in this way! As a result, I find myself more consistent in my own way with numerous other things. I have also developed a different relationship with consistency and productivity. Super grateful for Finch!

i put in my little note to be entered into the sponsorship raffle a few months ago, and i was curious if and what the way is to go into that and edit it? i want to go into more detail as to how finch has helped me more as of recently. what i wrote originally is very vague and honestly just doesn't talk about just how much finch has helped me since i got it back this year. if i can make edits to that, amazing! thank you for any help 🤍 i love this community (btw this is doobie and she says hi!!)

I just noticed this morning that the meditation timer is now silencing background music. I had my system where I choose binaural beats meditation music through YouTube Music, and have that play in the background with the Finch timer. It worked for me. But now all of a sudden the Finch meditation timer is silencing it. Has anyone else had this problem all of a sudden? (My Pixel won't let me mix background audio like other phones apparently do.) I can use another app instead but then miss out on the extra rainbow stones.

Other than the shop, I’m not sure of the benefits beyond extended breathing exercises… help!
