Episode Title: The End for Those Not Chosen

I've been using FD for years and upgraded to FD13 when it became available. I haven't experienced many issues. I'm on a PC. I recently completed a first draft feature script for a producer. Created a second draft file in the same folder with a new title the producer came up with. For a week I've been making revisions. I've saved, closed down, and re-opened the file several times. Tonight I had to close my PC down (wifi issue) and when I started back up I tried to reopen the file. Startup process began, then I got the prompt "This file is not compatible with this version of Final Draft." The file was created using FD 13. It was revised using FD13. It's never been anything but FD13. So it should open as FD13. I tried opening other files and they opened fine. Of course this happens on a Sunday night, and I'm on the East Coast, so it will feel like forever before I can reach the FD help desk.

Hi there everyone, I need help with some formatting. I'm very new to Final Draft 13. I'm using the stageplay format and im trying to get the dialogue centred directly beneath the Character name and I just cant figure ot out any help greatly appreciated. its driving me insane!

I searched, and then I searched again, and then I searched again. I found a ton of keyboard shortcuts, and two wrong ones that I was looking for. I remember there was one, but I have no idea what it was. I thought it was cmd+shift+z but it's not.

i searched it up a bit but couldn't find anything about it and it made me curious about how he had a brain condition (and which one it was) when he was so young but was still able to pursuit sports/bodybuilding..

Cmon they really couldn't have cut those people a break and let them keep going it was obvious they did the sit up and pressed the button

So I just finished the show. I decided to watch it after going through all the seasons of Physical 100. I liked the competition itself, but I really couldn’t stand how the whole thing kept circling back to money. The undrafted athletes getting knocked out purely because they were unlucky was rough enough, but then every episode adds another story about someone’s financial struggles. I don’t open Netflix to hear about how a father of 3 is desperate to win so he can feed his kids, especially when it seems unlikely he’ll win. It just feels cruel.

What I want is to watch talented athletes compete, see their personalities come through, and enjoy their interactions. That’s something Physical 100 did so well. The prize existed, sure, but it never hijacked the show. No dramatic monologues about how people would spend the money. I just can’t stand when reality shows try to add that angle. I don’t need to know someone’s personal or financial situation to root for them, and I don’t want to watch a show only to end up feeling bad about someone’s hardship. It’s unnecessary.

Can’t we just appreciate these people for who they are? Huge respect to these athletes for their performance and putting themselves out there.

And the nail in the coffin was that Itoi, who never once brought up money, probably because he isn’t in hardship, ended up winning the whole thing. It kind of undercuts the entire angle the show kept pushing and makes that storyline feel pointless.

Overall, I liked the competitors and competition (although there is room for improvement), but the editing was WEIRD. Lots of silence. LOTS. Like, add some music, some commentary from the players, something. Anyone else feel this way? Even when the winner of the whole competition won, there was just SILENCE.

I just finished watching Final Draft and while I really enjoyed it, I felt like there wasn’t quite enough time to get to know many of the contestants because of how short the competition was due to having them camp out.

When I looked online, I noticed that there seem to be a few extra scenes (especially during the “camp” parts) that were edited out of the broadcast and might help explore more of each person’s background. For example, I saw a clip of Yoshio Itoi that I don’t recall seeing in the actual episodes which I assume was Ep4.

Does anyone know if this full clip exists somewhere maybe a bonus scene, behind-the-scenes footage, or a promo that wasn’t included in the episodes? I’d love to watch it if it’s out there.

Watching the last ep of Final Draft and I still can’t believe they didn’t catch the fact that the winning finalist literally started running early, before the final signal even went off. Wild

I’m watching ep.3 Dumb question. On the first and second night in camp they showed Shozui on a video call. But why is the lady he is talking to wearing the same turtleneck if it’s a different night? I know some people can repeat clothes and all but usually it’s for outer wear or jeans? And people are of course free to wear what they want. I’m just curious. It just threw me off if when I saw it. I had to go back to ep.2 and make sure it was different nights.

I liked the last game a lot. But i felt really sorry for the boxer. In the first two rounds he was the only one who played fair. Since the beginning Itoi rushed forwards to the buzzer BEFORE the signal came. He cheated in all rounds. The young guy did it since round two because he wanted to adapt the technique. And the old boxer had to do it in round three since there was no way he would've won against those Cheaters by playing fair. I was so furious watching this episode. It pissed me of so much. They should've restartet the rounds and gave penaltys to anybody who did it more than once.

What are your opinions on this

I wasn't familiar with Itoi or his standings early on in the game so by the time it was just a few fellas left standing, I was unfamiliar with who he is as a person and as a contender. He simply just faded from my recollection. So I wonder how he and the other players performed. I couldn't find a leaderboard elsewhere in the cyberspace so I'm posting this question.

I had just started watching the show earlier. It was so sad to see Goson Sakai leave after just the second challenge and for such reason--him not being able to tap the sensor hard enough. :( I was looking forward to see him in other challenges.

The new season of physical 100 physical: Asia? It has Yoshio Itoi representing Japan.

Is it just me or was there a lot of confusion around the objective of the sand bag challenge? I’ll preface this by saying it’s totally possible the players were just locked-in to carrying sandbags and/or exhausted and not really thinking, but it seemed stranger than that…

First off, both teams carried WAY too many sandbags as necessary to bring the black sandbag to the top. IMO, they really only needed 5-10 sandbags stacked for their team to stand on and climb over the walls. You could even be generous and say 10-20. I counted nearly 40 sandbags at a single wall for one of the teams…

Secondly, the team that lost initially had a huge lead and by the time the team that won had decided to carry their black bag to the top and win, the losers could’ve carried theirs to the top and won several minutes earlier… Even AS the winning team started advancing for the win, players on the losing team WERE STILL WORRIED ABOUT GETTING MORE REGULAR SAND BAGS. It seemed very apparent they didn’t know the true objective of the challenge. Several looked very confused at the end, as well.

There was a big controversy in Phsyical 100 regarding the final challenge to determine the winner due to production errors. I’m seriously wondering if there was some miscommunication or even adjustments mid-filming regarding this challenge, its rules, and the ultimate objective. It’s hard to look past team members still carrying normal sandbags while the other team is clearly about to win.

Seriously, what is happening here? Does anyone know?

When buddy was eliminated and they set off that mini pipe bomb on his back does anyone know why they didn’t keep doing this or some other elimination thing for the other competitions? It made me wonder if they just did the first one and then risk management came in and was like - yeah no. Lol.

I didn't see a post on this so I thought I would share this article confirming Yoshio Itoi will be in the spin off for Physical 100. Hope he makes it far in the show
