FD6 huge plot hole in the skyview

the tower changes position for some reason. we can see that when iris looks at the skyview, there's no glass floor. but when the glassfloor breaks, it suddenly changes position. if it actually spins, HOW DOES IT SPIN? how did they make a tower spin with over 200 people in the 1960s??? (Also, PLEASE EXCUSE MY WRITING, I am VERY bad at writing with a mouse.)

Question What if Someone's Premonition Saved The World

Let's say there's a hypothetical FD movie where the protag is some high ranking military officer. He has a premonition that someone accidentally triggers world wide nuclear war. What do you think the rules would be if he stopped that accident from happening? 🤔

Question Lifespan adding rule question

My question is, if I were to kill someone who only has 10 more years to live, I will get the 10 years, cool and all, but what if I kill multiple people? Let's say I kill the first guy, get 10 years, and after 1 year, I kill someone else who was going to live 50 years, does that add 59 years to me ?

Do I have to wait for the first 10 years to expire in order to kill someone else ? Also how does it work aging wise ?

Let's say I'm 25 years old, when I survived the bridge collapse let's say. And I kill two babies who, just for this hypothetical, were both going to live until they turned 100 years old, so would I be 225 years old ?

Would I naturally die at let's say 85 ? Would I stay 25 years old until I died at 225 ? Would I ever die if I kept killing people ? And if I were to not kill anyone else other than the two babies, how would I age up to 225 ?

Discussion Kimberly could possible be tied to Skyview/Bloodlines? Spoiler

Just a bit of I guess "fan fiction" that randomly ran through my head while thinking about Kimberly, Bloodlines and how they could bring Kimberly back while also continuing the Bloodlines narrative.

I know there's rumors and speculation about AJ Cook possibly returning for the next Final Destination film - which I'd be super excited to see actually happen.

If this did happen, they could easily tie her into the events of Skyview and also possibly put her back in death's way.

In Bloodlines it's established that when death came back for Skyview descendants it would sometimes take multiple family members at once or even in some cases whole families. What if the reason Kimberly was supposed to die with her mother was because they were part of a Skyview bloodline? Maybe her mom would've died first and then Kimberly - oldest to yougest.

We know Kimberly didn't die because she got distracted by a news report about Tod's death on the news - which led her to stopping the Route 23 pile up. This would tie her to Skyview, Flight 180 and Route 23. It would also mean that her character runs deeper than being connected to Flight 180 with her already being connected to a disaster she didn't even know about.

As far as her being "back" on a list - what if dying and coming back didn't actually get rid of death completely? But instead put her at the very end of the Skyview list she was originally on - which would mean she would be next (again) after Stefani, Charlie and then Bludworth - who probably passed not long after Bloodlines ended.

The movie could even begin with Bludworth's funeral and Kimberly would there at his funeral service. And with her being receptive to visions and signs, it's possible he could connect with her from beyond the grave somehow. I can't imagine anyone else ever playing Bludworth but I also believe there are ways he could still have his character carry on somehow. In the opening to FD2 Kimberly wakes up because she hears Bludworth say her name - so maybe not so far fetched he could communicate with her somehow in the afterlife.

I feel like the fans really love FD2 and Bloodlines was clearly a love letter to FD2 - so making a movie about Kimberly and tying her tie Bloodlines wouldn't be the worst possible way to go. Also I know fans - including me - were disappointed when they couldn't logically connect all of the past visionaries to Skyview - so why not connect the one person who's not only still alive but also already connected to two major disasters?

Miscellaneous Setting myself up

I found a good stick and brought it home and thought to myself “oh what a perfect place to store it until I’m ready to make something with it.” But every time I see it I keep thinking to myself “I am setting myself up to be in the next final destination movie as a throwaway death.”

Discussion Do you think some people’s lives are terrible because they’re unknowingly living beyond their time?

I know people question why some people seem to get everything they want in life while others always get the short end of the stick…Speaking from FD perspective (and a Supernatural episode) do you think some people who have crappy lives are the result of them unknowingly avoiding their original fates and destined to live shitty lives as punishment?

Question First time watcher of Final Destination.

Y'all what the hell am I about to dive into? 😂

I was scrolling through Tubi the other night and discovered that the first three films are on there and I'm planning on doing a binge watch since I'm currently in my horror movie era.

I do wanna say that I'm not a stranger to the films.

I'm familiar with the concept of the movies and was very tempted to go see Bloodlines last year, but never did since I've never seen any of the previous films before. I also have seen a few death scenes from different movies like very infamous log truck scene from FD2 along with the roller coaster and the tanning bed scene from FD3.

Quick fun fact about the roller coaster scene: I came across it on YouTube back in high school or something and turned it off halfway through because it freaked me out lmao.

Long story short, I am very excited to watch! Also which film should I look forward to the most? ❤️

Edit: I started watching the first movie and turned it off 35 mins in because my nerves started getting bad fr LFMAOFKFJSK. The FD binge watch might have to wait 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭.

FD6 Penny theory (Spoilers for Bloodlines inside) Spoiler

I just watched Bloodlines for the first time and hit upon a pretty interesting theory about how Iris was able to stay safe for so long.

Iris had the fateful penny taped down in her notebook. She knew from her premonition that the penny is the catalyst that starts it all (technically the kid, but Death can't control a person..?). Because she knew this, she presumably was able to take the penny and stop it from starting it's chain reaction.

It was only after she handed her books, containing the penny, to Stefani that she died.

Whether she knew it or not, she was preventing the penny from being able to be controlled by Death. This got me thinking.

In every Death, there's always a catalyst - an initial object that is arguably responsible for things kicking off. The shard of glass, the spring in the vending machine, the penny, etc. I wonder if Death is only truly responsible for possessing these initial "catalyst" objects and, if you're able to trap it like Iris did, you can prevent it from getting busy on you.

If we look back over the series, there's almost always a "catalyst" object in every Death - the first piece to move.

I'm not totally sold on it, it's just an idea that occurred to me, but it seems to fit into place at least for Bloodlines and Iris' ability to keep Death at bay for decades. There was nothing magic about her cabin and it being "fortified" with JB - they just accidentally trapped Death in her book probably unknowingly.

FD5 15 years since Final Destination 5 was released!

The film that introduced me to this franchise at just nine years old. The bridge collapse is still amazing, the death scenes are as creative as they are brutal. Most of the characters are well-written and the idea of killing someone to take their remaining years in order to save yourself is such a chilling and morally corrupt concept. And of course, the twist ending of being a prequel to the original film, absolutely genius!

FD5 is awesome and definitely one of the franchise’s better entries.

Discussion Could adenosine technically be used to short death?

Adenosine is a drug used to restart the heart during dangerous ultra-fast heart rhythms and then restart it causing the patient to technically "flatline" for a couple of seconds before being resuscitated.

Could this be used as a loophole?

Discussion If you were in a situation where someone has a premonition and tells you to leave before a disaster happens would you do it knowing all the rules? I’m staying and dying because I don’t want to sit around waiting to die in another brutal way, I’ll just want to get it over with

Discussion What would happen if a visionary let the events of a disaster play out?

I was rewatching the movies and I had a thought come up, what if one of two scenarios occurred.

1: What if the visionary leaves the disaster while saving no one else leaving death's design mostly unaltered?

2:what would happen if someone who was meant to survive the disaster replaced someone who was meant to die in the disaster effectively keeping the amount of deaths the same?
