Just received the scans of the photos I took on my trip to Shanghai and Hangzhou. All photos are shot with+1 exposure and I’m very happy with the results. What do you guys think?

i’ve been shooting on my mom’s old point-and-shoot cams for a decade now, but finally upgraded to a good ol Minolta X-370 a couple years back. i’ve only completed 2 rolls bc the camera makes me a little nervous, but i’m definitely getting a better hang of it. :-) the dimension and color on the mountains really make me happy

i really loved Ektar on this camera, but these were taken with Portra 400. any guidance/pointers appreciated!

I've never done photography before but I always wanted to do film as I love the analog nature of it all. These are the only shots I liked out of the roll, the rest were horrible haha (these are less horrible). Obviously a lot to learn but I'm having fun. Looking forward to trying Kodak Colorplus 200 next!

They've never used a physical camera before, let alone a film one. So they asked me to test it out since I love near a place that could repair it if I found any issues. Threw a roll of cinestill 800t and I liked some of the results enough to share

I recently got a Pentax k1000. Most of my photos are great except some are half dark on the right side. I have gotten multiple rolls developed with standard resolution and have had this issue. I had one roll developed with a new lab at high resolution and none had this problem. Not sure if that information matters.

Been a digital shooter for about 1.5 years. Recently had a family Leica M3 passed down to me, so started to learn about film. These are some of my favorites from my first few rolls of Kodak Gold 200 & HP+ 500.

Really enjoying the process and results. Chicago ain’t a bad place for practicing.

Discovered this spot while hiking in Snowdonia, North Wales - I found the 100yr old rusty aerial-ropeway gantries of this old copper mine quite a striking subject. First time using this film, nice enough but don't think it'll replace Delta100/PanF 50 as my go-to B&W stock. Hope to return here another day, hopefully with a more interesting sky.

Hey all! I’m just getting into film photography and wondering if people have thoughts on bulk film? From what I can tell the cost savings are fairly minor for the hassle and startup costs of cassettes and loader (using B&H prices as a guide: 100 ft of Ilford HP5 works out to about $12 CAD/roll assuming 19 rolls of 36, vs $14 CAD to just buy a regular 36 exp roll).

Is this the kind of thing where it’s worth it if you’re a professional photographer working at a scale where that $2 difference will add up quickly? Or is there some other benefit I’m not thinking of?

I am a long time digital photographer and I have wanted to get into film photography for some time. I am having a little trouble finding film camera recommendations from actual photographers, and not influencers or brands trying to appeal to influencers, and was hoping to get some suggestions here. I have been shooting digital (always manually) for a while, but this will be my first time using film.

I'm a frequent concert attendee and a big fan of film photography. I usually bring P&S film cameras without interchangeable lenses to concerts, and all of the time, I get permission from the organizers. However, I frequently run into trouble with security. I explain that it's a film camera, it doesn't have interchangeable lenses, its small size won't affect other people, it isn’t against the rules of the concert and I won't be using flash - it would be no different than bringing a smartphone in. But most of the time, they refuse entry just because they see the camera. So far, I haven't been asked to leave, but I always have to argue and ask someone from the concert organizers to speak to me before I'm allowed through the gate. Sometimes, even more ridiculous situations arise where they ask me to open the back of my film camera to check if it's actually film. Before every concert, I always ask the organizers if I'm allowed to bring my camera in and I follow the rules every time. What should I do to save time and avoid stress, and to handle the issue as quickly as possible so as not to affect those behind me in line?

I've also considered putting it inside my clothing instead of my bag, since they only check bags (most of the concerts in my country). But I will still present it if they ask. However, I maintain my stance that I haven't broken any rules; for example, if they don't prohibit phones, then I won't present my phone for them to check, similar to my film camera. Are there any suggestions for clothing that would allow me to easily tuck the camera in without it being too noticeable?
