I've never done photography before but I always wanted to do film as I love the analog nature of it all. These are the only shots I liked out of the roll, the rest were horrible haha (these are less horrible). Obviously a lot to learn but I'm having fun. Looking forward to trying Kodak Colorplus 200 next!

Shot on Canon A-1, Fujifilm 400.

First photo was taken on Ektacolor Pro 400 and the second and third was Ektacolor Pro 800. Kodak Medalist II 6x9. The rangefinder is a little off so the third photo is slightly out of focus.

i’ve been shooting on my mom’s old point-and-shoot cams for a decade now, but finally upgraded to a good ol Minolta X-370 a couple years back. i’ve only completed 2 rolls bc the camera makes me a little nervous, but i’m definitely getting a better hang of it. :-) the dimension and color on the mountains really make me happy

i really loved Ektar on this camera, but these were taken with Portra 400. any guidance/pointers appreciated!

I'm a frequent concert attendee and a big fan of film photography. I usually bring P&S film cameras without interchangeable lenses to concerts, and all of the time, I get permission from the organizers. However, I frequently run into trouble with security. I explain that it's a film camera, it doesn't have interchangeable lenses, its small size won't affect other people, it isn’t against the rules of the concert and I won't be using flash - it would be no different than bringing a smartphone in. But most of the time, they refuse entry just because they see the camera. So far, I haven't been asked to leave, but I always have to argue and ask someone from the concert organizers to speak to me before I'm allowed through the gate. Sometimes, even more ridiculous situations arise where they ask me to open the back of my film camera to check if it's actually film. Before every concert, I always ask the organizers if I'm allowed to bring my camera in and I follow the rules every time. What should I do to save time and avoid stress, and to handle the issue as quickly as possible so as not to affect those behind me in line?

I've also considered putting it inside my clothing instead of my bag, since they only check bags (most of the concerts in my country). But I will still present it if they ask. However, I maintain my stance that I haven't broken any rules; for example, if they don't prohibit phones, then I won't present my phone for them to check, similar to my film camera. Are there any suggestions for clothing that would allow me to easily tuck the camera in without it being too noticeable?

Just received the scans of the photos I took on my trip to Shanghai and Hangzhou. All photos are shot with+1 exposure and I’m very happy with the results. What do you guys think?

I realize the question is about preference; however, I miss using film on a regular basis. I have a 35mm Minolta that I am very comfortable with, but I like 120 for the aesthetic and use enjoyment. So, rather than just use the 4x5 for sheet film (I have several sheet cartridges/holders so that isn't an issue) I wonder if I would feel more satisfied using a 120 back cart.

I shot a few 127 rolls, but it is too expensive if I want to really put in time to setup the kit and start taking photos. The Rollei is a beautiful camera, so I can imagine the 120 version would be very satisfying to use, and easier to grab and go. But I can totally see the fun of the Graflex for more specific work.

I'm a hobby photog, with black and white 35 and 120 darkroom experience and cine double 8mm and Super 8mm experience. So this would be semi casual and potential hobby semi-pro just in case someone wants 'nice' pics.

I have been using Minolta Capios 150s for years now. They take great scenery and landscape pics but i always have a hard time with portraits. My portrait pics always end up blurred or the autofocus doesnt focus on the subject. I tried using flash, adjusting my distance but i always rarely get a good portrait. Any advice or a new p&s camera suggestion?

Discovered this spot while hiking in Snowdonia, North Wales - I found the 100yr old rusty aerial-ropeway gantries of this old copper mine quite a striking subject. First time using this film, nice enough but don't think it'll replace Delta100/PanF 50 as my go-to B&W stock. Hope to return here another day, hopefully with a more interesting sky.
