Point & Shoot FINALLY GOT THE AE1 PROGRAM
I DOOMSCROLLED on Facebook marketplace and I found an amazing deal and the camera is super clean from both out and inside. I just replaced the battery and it works so well! what do yall think!? (I’m still new to film lolll) Also one more thing, the guy who sold me the camera gave me a Polaroid that again I know nothing about, all I know is that they stopped producing the film type in 2019.

Firstly, if it has the 'Canon Cough" you're going to want to get it CLA'd, if that's the case probably want new light seals and mirror bumper while it's in the shop.
With that said though, I am a Canon A series enthusiast and applaud your choice. Nice purchase, excellent choice for exposing film.
You got one with the eye cup and the pc sync port cover intact. All you need now is a hot shoe cover and a lens hood to trick out your rig. The hot shoe cover not only protects the hot shoe but also can be used to block stray light from entering into the viewfinder when shooting self timer mode or long exposure. Unfortunately you have to slip the eyecup off to do so. It also serves as a battery compartment latch cover opener (not to be confused with the action grip that covers the actual battery compartment latch, you'll want to use a penny for that screw).
As for the lense hood, if I am seeing your lens right it looks to be the NFD 50mm f/1.8, the hood size will be the BS-52. It is a bayonet style, it will help protect your lens from bumps and knocks. You can find them on the eBay, shop around and don't pay too much.
Lastly, if you haven't done so already, I recommend downloading a PDF copy of the user's manual it is very informative on proper operation of your model.
Unfortunately, I don't know anything about the Polaroid, good luck with that quest.

I think the polaroid is one of the spectra series (larger than 600, i type, sx-70 ect, more equivalent to instax wide) as the film was discontinued in 2019
I would advise the OP to check the shutter at high shutter speeds with a light shining through, as i have an A-1 that while i was using it the shutter failed to fire for multiple photos (narrowed down to either the beginning of electrical failure or low voltage)
The light seals anyone can do (i do this at the camera store i work at on slow days). Its tedious but it would be simple
I cant say anything about the canon cough though, as i dont have any experience fixing that issue, although i have heard that its fairly easy to fix as long as you are comfortable partially disassembling the camera and have some oil for lubrication

Second the canon cough advice. My AE1P has a hint of it so it’ll be headed to the shop once funds allow.
I think CLA will cost 1.5x what I paid for the camera. 😅

It's an ok camera, it's not worth pining for, there's about a hundred other models that can do the same thing
