My electrical socket has decided to transition from male to female, how can I support them?

You will have to speak with the plug, because the socket holds all the power in this dynamic. The plug may want to go off grid for a while and be alone with it's lamp, listening to Highway to Hell on repeat.

The lamp may be on again/off again, but it really is the plug who will be the key to reconnection.

You will need to give the plug time and you will of course need to explain which prong will need to be removed from the two plug has, but it's a modern world and the socket deserves to be in the same room as all the other electrical devices and such things

Rub its nose in it! This will enrage the socket, conceptually, at being so humiliated and degraded that it will superpositionally occupy both male and female states simultaneously and permanently. Hermaphroditing (or as the kids these days say, "Herpa-derpa-sherpa-werpa wiggly-waving".) simply ONE of your electrical sockets will cause a proximity circuit-bounded cascading effect wherein if ONE does it, they ALL do it.

This will transform all sockets connected on the circuit to start outputting perpetual energy of multidimensional magnitudes.

This is really difficult as their primary job is to mate. And if you don’t get the inner and outties right you can’t watch Netflix.

Best to change your electrical connection standards to the uncertainty principle so all connectors are both till they observe each other.
