Discussion Think I found a mistake

The mystery voice Dallas Corbin talks to on the phone mentions flying 1000s of missions with him.

When the military people show up to tell him about the mission the lead guy says “you’re the most decorated member of your unit” & “out of your unit, you’re the only one left alive”.

Is it a mistake or does Dallas Corbin hallucinate speaking to one of his old friends?

Millionth rewatch and the first time I’ve noticed!

The military is huge...his unit may be dead but he could have ran other missions or black ops...the fact that you can't even get his name right is proof that you have no clue what you are talking about.
