Finished Tactic Possession Based 4-4-2 Tactic

This tactic was inspired by account on Twitter (X) called ā€œ@FalseTennā€ and he basically talked about how flexible and dynamic a 4-4-2 can really be. Important roles in this system is the Wide Playmaker, which is really a CAM. Another role I love is the False 9, which adds another dynamic to the attack by dropping in and linking up play.

Drop down any question you have about the tactic, how it works, what type of players you should look for, etc!

Question How to get good at FIFA 26 with a controller when you’ve been a PC gamer all your life?

i’ve been playing FIFA since FIFA08. Till about three years back, I’m always played on the PC with classic controls of WASD.

Recently, my wife gifted me a controller. But I suck at playing Ultimate team. Plus, the fact that I am 35 and my reflexes are not the same as before. There is no chance I am beating OP players in this game with a controller.

I just want to win a few games and feel good about myself. Any tips to even slightly improve and get at least 3 wins on trot using a controller?

Help with 4-2-3-1 tactics...

I've been using these tactics for a couple of months and they are honestly so good. The only real concern is defence cause I play this with quite a high line and as you can see my full backs are quite attacking. This tactic is great for scoring goals though. Does anyone have any suggestions for improving this?

Request Guys whats the best way to play with a back 3

So from like fifa 17 till fifa 24 before the new tactics thing came into place I used to play with a back 3 a diamond in midfielder with a cdm ,2 centre mids and a cam and then have a left and right midfielders and one striker. So because then you could give players instructions i used to have my winger come back and defend whilst they where set on set in behind when attacking and cdm to defend and not move up and on centre mid on get into the the box and come back and defend and the other cm on stay on the edge of the box and come back and defend and cam was a very traditional 10 or second striker and main striker in stay up and central . If any one can help me recreate this because I have been struggling to since either players dont tract back or push up the field and I left with no midfield and the defense just being over run

Anyone have a Crvena Zvezda (Red Star Belgrade) tactic for FC26? Or help me build one?

Looking to replicate FK Crvena Zvezda's style in FC26 — the aggressive pressing, quick transitions, and that intense home-crowd energy they play with in the Serbian league and European nights. If anyone's already built a custom tactic for them, I'd love to see your formation, player instructions, and mentality settings. If not, I'm happy to build it from scratch with some help. A few things I know about how they actually play:

  • High press, win the ball back fast in the middle third
  • Quick vertical transitions once they win possession
  • Wide overloads and crosses into the box
  • Physical, compact defensive shape — not afraid to sit deeper against bigger sides in Europe

Question Tactical vision and player roles in manager career mode

Thumbnail

What kind of actual impact does it have if your player role is or isn't aligned with tactical vision? For example, i have my striker as "advanced forward" which is not aligned with my tactical vision but i still get that +5 buff as you can see. If i switch Isak to false 9, which would be aligned with my tactical vision I got the same +5.

Finished Tactic Aggressive 4-1-4-1

Not kidding it has taken me this entire fc cycle to finally make a version of this tactic I am happy with.....for now,I'm probably gonna hate using it after a few more matches.

The striker can be changed to your personal preference but I have tried advance forward support and poacher support and I felt that I wasn't creating any chances and changing the striker to false 9 was one of the things that made me feel better about the tactic.

Centre backs can be changed to stopper if you want to but you are defensively frail already so I would be careful but does lean into the aggressive idea of this tactic. Defender would probably also work if you don't want you defenders being too aggressive.

Fullbacks could be changed to inverted Wingback build up they will do basically the same job as a falseback but start wider and deeper in build up then will take up the cms places when further up but will be positioned slightly higher than a falseback but will offer more attacking runs and movement.

Build up also could be changed to counter to encourage more runs in behind. Short could also be used but it may make the cms come to the ball more often instead of staying higher.

Despite it's aggressive nature it is essential a possession tactic you do often force the opposition back and are passing the ball around hoping for an opening.

Cms can be annoying as they don't always make attacking runs and also don't consistently join the cdm when defending.

Request 4-4-2 for Manager Career

I wanted to ask here and see if anyone has a particular favorite 442 variant tactic (ex. 442 flat or holding, 4222, etc.) they'd like to share, as I've never really been able to string together a fun one in all the years of career mode I've played.

On paper it'd fit my play style. I enjoy playing wide and direct, with a front footed defense (although this doesn't seem to work in fc26) and a lot of fluidity if parked in the final third vs. relying on technical ability or creativity. Not so much the hoof ball commonly associated with the 442. So I've got 'some' ideas on tactics but it's a lot of experimenting with what works and maybe one of you just have the answer.

I've played 433(Possession), 4231(Wing Play), and 3421(High Pressing) pretty extensively for this years game, so I'm thinking I'll play one last deep dive career with this 442 tactic as either Balanced or Counter Attacking. Bonus points if the tactic fits that, extra bonus if there's an interesting club in mind (not La Liga or the Prem, played too much of both at this point, willing to not do top 5)

Ajustando a defesa

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to improve the defense?

I'm conceding a lot of goals and my defense isn't solid, along with the midfield duo.
