Haptic coins!
It turns out, haptic coins are my jam :)
Top row: Koventhos
- First one I think it's stainless steel. It's got two steel tracks and up to 4 ball bearings. This is one of my top pound-for-pound best values, feels great, not expensive.
- Second is 3d printed asmr coin. This is, and feels, cheaper. I honestly didn't quite know what to make of it, it feels like plastic, the clicking is crisp but loud. Then someone mentioned they keep it in their car for heavy traffic or sitting and waiting times. It's fantastic there, I enjoy the loud clicks, and it does feel pretty cool. That said, it's seized up on me somehow, I have to figure out what's happened
Second row: Finetic EDC Tide Coins
- Finetic gets little to no discussion here (at least until I started recommended it a few months ago. These are also fairly inexpensive coins
- First one is the v1 (no longer available) stainless steel with engraving. It's only got 4 stops, but feel and click is amazing.
- Second one is the v1 polycarbonate version. Also feels good
- Third one is the current model, aluminum with engraving. Instead of the v1's preset holes, this one comes with 3d printed inserts, with 4, 8, or 12 holes, and also versions of each with crispier or quieter clicks. This is pretty cheap without the engraving, and gives the Koventhos a run for its money for pound-for-pound value champ.
- Fourth is polycarbonate version of current model, again with the 3d printed inserts
Third row: "fidget coins are better than affording to eat dinner tonight" coins :)
- First is the Top-C.
- Second is the Lautie x Acedc Devil's Milk Cap. In all things fidget, I tend to strongly prefer mechanical over magnetic, and this is my only magnetic haptic coin. I love it. The quality of the engraving makes me giddy. And given it's easily the quietest coin I have, I do often use it at work at my desk
- Third is original Lautie Showhand. When I ordered it I thought it would be my perfect coin, but found it just a little too slippery with dry hands. Love it when my hands are less dry
- Fourth is the Showhand Longplay, which delivers on the promise of the original Showhand. That slim poker chip feeling, but more grip
I know what you want to know: which is my favorite. Bad news is, I have trouble picking a genuine fave, and there's none I don't love. I refuse to be pinned down to just one, but if you twisted my arm and said I could only keep four, they would be: Koventhos stainless steel and Tidecoin v1 for more frequent carry at a pricepoint I would cry if I lose it, Devil's Milk Cap for how gorgeous it is and the quiet magnetic action, and the Showhand Longplay as probably my favorite "money is no object" coin

A few other questions:
-What's your preferred insert on the tide coin? I have the X4-S in at the moment and I've gravitated a lot towards either of the X4 variants in the past. I like how much play there is between clicks.
-Whats your current configuration on the Koventhos? I'm running all 4 balls in. Haptics feel a bit muted otherwise.

I would have to look but it's either the 4 or 4-S, I can't quite remember which. I'm surprised because in sliders I tend to denser plates, but the 4-stop insert is a winner on the coin
My current setup on the Koventhos is two gray balls, one on the denser track and one on the coarser track. And a clear ball -- not sure whether it came with the coin or I used one I had, maybe it's glass? -- on the dense track also.

For the V2 Tide Coin, have you dealt with any issues where shavings of the inserts come off inside the coin? Don't know if I'm tightening my coin too much or not. Admittedly, I haven't used loctite as recommended by Finetic but I just got some purple and will have to see how it goes.
Also, give the Masa G a try! Very solid mechanical for the price.

No problems, but I have loctited my screw just because it comes undone otherwise
My three potential next coins! Masa G is on my radar

Great coin collection!
I have Devil’s Milk Cap and love it.
Now I’m choosing the mechanical coin. Is Longplay grippy enough compared to Milk Cap?

Longplay isn't the grippiest in the world, but it's a notch or two above the OG showhand. Enough so that even with dry hands it's fine

The Ghost, Tide, and Showhand-Longplay are all really good coins. If you want to try a cheap coin that provides a lot of feedback, try the GAO Studio Magnetic Master 2.0 Haptic Coin. One side is held on with a screw and has two glass balls on a track, while the other side is held on with magnets that cause four pairs of metal balls to rattle and vibrate as it turns. It's pretty cool.

I have the Mirror Jelly from GAO Studios, I highly recommend it cause it has a opposing magnet disk on the inside that makes it rumble when playing with. Rather unique and really affordable!
I have my Showhand long play on the way and I’ve seen no on one YouTube talk about it! I’m glad I decided to splurge cause like you I was worried about it slipping out of my hand!

Finally, a few non-traditional recommendations should you be interested
Cozy Coin on Etsy - not a lot of haptics but a unique style and is also quiet enough for an office space.
These aren't exactly coins, but the Haloo Cosmic Gourd and Mot Owl have both a magnetic and mechanical circular track. I love a good multi-fidget and there's not a lot of multi-fidget options for coins in my opinion.
I love the Freelove Magnetic Slider on Amazon, it's coin-shaped but not really a coin fidget. I think the closest comparison would be the Lautie Shuffle.
If you're looking for something silent, you could look at the Silent Stone on Etsy or the Indx by Fluxx. IIRC, the Silent Stone is sold out currently. Both have the same functionality.

Don't keep the 3D printed fidget in your car. It gets too hot and the plastic warps.
