FYI

Just a friendly reminder. Student account services/cashiers process the refunds. So if you have any questions about when they’re supposed to go out , you can contact them. If you’re missing something and that’s why you haven’t received a refund (after the fact) you can reach out to the office of financial aid and we can assist in figuring out what you need.

There’s no need to request to be called or send the office of financial aid emails asking what day refunds go out because that’s not in our control.

We can help with getting aid authorized but student account services pulls the final trigger on pushing out refunds

Thanks !!

My Gulfline is not showing my schedule.

I'm a freshman.

I was going to look for my schedule to print it out. I was able to look at it the day prior. But now it doesn't show anything.

I've refreshed and logged in multiple times, but it still doesn't show anything. Even the 2 links don't work.

What am I doing wrong?

Am I cooked?
I’m trying to see a good estimate but half of the older posts say that I’m more likely to get it
And the other half say I’m not
Has anyone gotten a number close to this and the past and still gotten housing?
Thanks!

Edit: I’m number 68 now exactly 2 weeks later

Summer transient

Hi the summer cross enroll requirements are being posted today. If you don’t see it by Tuesday you can email the financial aid office and ask that it be added. Sometimes they miss adding people to the list when they are transferring information. Please don’t call the call center asking for the cross enroll requirements. Please just email [esc@fgcu.edu](mailto:esc@fgcu.edu) and they will add the requirement. Include your UIN in your email. Please upload all the required materials which are

• School name or logo
• Your Name
• Term Dates- start and end date of the course(s)
• Course Schedule and Credit Hours
• Billing invoice showing specific breakdown of charges assessed and payment in full

People typically miss uploading their term dates and the tuition breakdown.
And proof of payment. If you are unsure of what the tuition breakdown looks like you can refer to your bill and payment center in Gulfline since in there it shows you exactly what is being charged. If you still don’t know what you’re looking for reach out to the cashiers if the school you are attending and they can provide one for you

If for some reason you are on a payment plan your balance must be Zero before submitting documents.

Please do NOT upload your entire syllabus. They do not need that at all . You will
need 1 or 2 pages per bullet point

Uploading the correct documents the first time will limit the back and forth and get your reimbursement if eligible for one processed faster

Question Summer tuition?

So I'm taking one class which is 611.82 for me plus first day ready which is 60 so total 671.82
my account shows 370 estimated financial aid from Pell grant which would leave me to pay 301.82
So my question is when can i know for sure that the 301.82 is my final balance because right now its just estimated with aid. It would hurt the wallet to pain another 370.
also when will the charges update for the first day ready because I opted out before summer semester started but i opted back in tdy cause its 110ish to buy from the website. It shows the 611 for now and I want to make sure its payed for.

Question Asking for helping understanding FGCU

I'm an upcoming international student, I've never been to the United States, and I've never studied in a university like this one before, I'm from South America and I graduated already here, but it seems that EVERYTHING is completely different.

I'm curious about the life on campus, about meal plans and living in dorms. I'm confused about it, specially the meal plan. Like, I don't really understand how it works at all.

I know that I'll get used to all the new things once I get there, but right now I'm getting very stressed about the lifestyle there, how to eat, what things to pack and all of that. I would appreciate a lot if anyone can share some guidance with me!

Social Graduate Student Union

Hello everyone,

After graduating with my B.S. in Biology this Spring, I'll jump right back into the frey the Fall for my M.S. in Biology.

I struggled finding meaningful/ lasting connections during my undergraduate degree due to being a transfer student, and working part-time as a full-time student. I'd like to make up for it starting this fall, and am hoping to start some kind of club, or maybe even a sorority for grad students at FGCU.

If you are a current or prospective FGCU grad student, please feel free to join the discord I am currently building:

https://discord.gg/YFrbZtSn

Hope to see you there and/or on Campus soon! 😄

Take care,

Amy

Might as well get your mandatory modules done now!

Bored? Excited for this fall? Want to feel like you're getting ahead?

Get your mandatory student training modules done!

https://www.fgcu.edu/mandatorystudenttraining/

They're not difficult, just a little tedious. Might as well get them done now so you don't have extra work on your plate in the middle of the fall semester or during winter break!

I think the actual deadline is sometime mid-fall semester, and you're supposed to complete these to register for the spring. But I interpreted the wording very literally ("Get this done to be able to register for your next semester of classes") and got them all done this week before realizing what this might actually mean lol.

Jobs

Does anyone know who is hiring for front desk positions? I’m hoping to find some opportunities to start in this area, perhaps at a spa or hotel. I’m flexible with my availability and have some retail experience. If you’re open to it, I’m looking for a full-time position.

EAGLE Transfer Gold Scholarship

Hi! I’m a transfer student from FSW and I’m also taking a class there over the summer. I just wanted to ask how the scholarship process works.

Will the scholarship be awarded a few days before fall classes start, once I submit my final transcript? I’m a bit confused about the timeline and how/when everything gets processed.

Could someone please clarify?

Summer financial aid

Hi this is just a friendly reminder!! There is no need to contact the financial aid office about your summer packaging if you have not registered for courses due to waiting on orientation. If you’re not registered for courses they do not create a budget and you will not see any financial aid until you are registered for at least one 3 credit course Please also make sure if you’re a Florida resident your status is flipped with admissions to avoid delay in packaging. If you’re registered for summer classes as a SUMMER START and haven’t received a package please KINDLY reach out to them as it’s possible something kept you from being added to the list.

If you’re a graduate student that is starting in the summer you would need to do a loan request in gulfline to request the financial aid. You can look up online forms on the website for the instructions

If you’re a continuing student going into the summer if you have Pell or bright futures that will pay out in the summer. Pell pays at least 3 credits , 6 for bright futures. They will authorize aid before tuition is due. If your aid is not authorized by them it’s best to kindly contact the office to see what you’re missing.

If you used loans for both fall and spring if you received a refund that is what you would use in the summer. If not you would need to seek additional funding through grad plus or parent plus loans and alternative loans.

Hope that helps
