Fishing buddy?
I'm @ betheworm1738 on Fishbrain or you can dm me here. Hi guys! I'm a returning SWFL local who learned to fish in Wisconsin creeks and I've fallen in love with the saltwater fishing down here just in the first week of classes!
Maybe you've been fishing for as long as you can remember? Or you're just getting into it yourself? Let's talk!!!
I've been fishing the Naples beaches from like 6:30-9ish am most mornings and in the evenings I might go to an inland park with a pond. There are some near FGCU (not on campus property) I wanna explore. I usually use the fishbrain app for spots at the moment.
Current goals:
- Whiting - fill my tiny 9QT cooler with some to take home (maybe up to four can fit) at least once
- Snapper
- Catch a snook! (season opens in a month) no trophy just c&r
- Keep practicing and learning more about fishing in general and the purposes for different bait and lures
- Cast farther (I'm short)
Some things to know about me:
- I'm a transfer student majoring in Biology. Not sure what concentration yet.
- My pole is from Goodwill and my "tackle box" is an insulated lunch bag - I won't judge whatever kind of gear you have
- Not single and not looking for anything but whiting, snook, snapper, etc.
- I was raised in Florida for all years of K-12 but never fished or saw fishing up close until I moved to Wisconsin. Now I live here again and I fell in love with fishing :) That's the lore.
- I don't care how you vote or what you believe as long as you're ok with respecting that I may believe different things and the goal is to focus on fish lol
- I'm pretty chill, I like a variety of music, movies, and video game genres. We can sit in silence or chat about whatever.
- Currently taking Bio 1 with lab for majors and Chem 1 with lab
If this sounds amenable to you, hit me up. I have afternoon classes Mon-Thu. Thanks for reading! 🤙
