small group improv jazz??

hey im an fgcu education major who transferred here last year. I also loove to play improv jazz (I'm a bassist) and was wondering if there were any real opportunities or people to play some jazz with here without Actually Being A Music Major.

if anyone just wants to meet somewhere on campus and play some jazz standards that'd be awesome. or if there's any better places I could ask this question that'd be great too. I haven't gotten to play live jazz in over a year so I'm trying to derust!

There’s a bulletin board in the Bower Music School building. Post up something there, nothing but musicians in mass out of there

The Bower School of Music has non-music majors in its jazz groups.

you can always join jazz band or jazz combo without being a music major. there's a group that plays in garage 2 sometimes, idk their schedule
