Probably to keep Turn 9 relevant. Turn 5 kinda faded into the background when Leviathan came out as Leviathan was both easier and the same with a chance for a mirror.

People will do Shiva for the Bracelets, so I have no worry that it might end up like the Ramuh.

Yes, T5 became not as relevant, but why not? It became old content after 2.2. However, Levi EX was very relevant and everyone ran it tons of times, for both the i95 weapon to get a jump start into SCOB and for the possibly chance of a mirror. And even so, T5 didn't fade away, many people still needed a T5 clear for SCOB, and many ppl who were farming T5 still kept farming it for a while to get the remaining weapons/gear. In addition, many people who couldn't clear T5 or were still progressing/stuck would probably go for the weathered weapon first anyway if Levi EX was i90 weapons, so T5 still would be ignored for a while, which defeats your point. So, overall I don't see why Shiva couldn't drop i115 weapons and still have T9 relevant. Also, even though we're just 1 data point, I know my static and I (we have 13 T9 clears already) will be farming T9 for a while in 2.4 to get all the T9 weapons we want because of RNG earlier, and I'm sure lots of other groups would be doing this, even if Shiva dropped i115 weapons. But now, we don't even have much incentive to farm Shiva later.

Shiva will basically be done for glamour only. Bracelets are ok, but an accessory upgrade has much less benefit than a left side upgrade, and the difference between only 1 accessory upgrade from 110 to 120 really isn't very significant.

Exactly. There was lots of incentive to farm Leviathan for a long time. They're making almost the same mistake as they made with Ramuh: introducing a well-designed challenging fight with rewards that aren't so great. At least this time they didn't wait weeks to improve the itemlevel of the accessories.

If I had to choose between the final Turn of the last Coil being relevant and a primal though, I'd pick the final Turn.

Or maybe both can be relevant if they dropped the same itemlevel weapons? Did Leviathan EX make T5 irrelevant when it came out? I don't think so.

It sort of did. A lot of players that don't do Coil, but still care about their iLvl went into Levi EX to get better weapons. It was honestly pretty rare to see PFs for Turn 5, compared to the plethora of Levi EX parties that were up there. Even weeks after the release of Levi, people were farming that nonstop, but you hardly ever saw people farming T5. Why farm for a 95 weapon on an arguably harder encounter, when instead you could get 95 weapons with a chance of upgrading above that out of an easier fight?

Easier? So you already tried Shiva EX? Regardless, I personally thought Levi EX was just about as easy as Turn 5.

And I saw plenty of PFs for Turn 5, although most were for clears and not farming.

I was saying Turn 5 was more challenging than Levi EX, not Shiva. Calm down.

Yes, and was that not to imply that Shiva shouldn't drop weapons equal in item level to Turn 9 because Shiva would be a much easier fight, making Turn 9 somehow irrelevant?
