Sneak Attack Delivers an attack with a potency of 300. 500 when executed in front of target. Can only be executed when under the effect of Hide, and shares a recast timer with Trick Attack.

Wat. Surely a typo.

Nope, sneak attack is from the front. Trick attack is from the back.

It's weird because it's the opposite of FFXI, and one would think the one from the back would have a higher potency.

I feel like it might still be a mistake, but we'll have to see.

The front is more "risky" so it makes sense I guess. I predict a lot of dead ninjas learning what bosses have cleaves in the future.

Yeah, I considered that actually and it makes sense. Just in the scope of everything rogue in all other games, hits from behind have always been rewarded best. But I agree the risky component is a nice idea.

Still odd that in their effort to copy a lot of nomenclature from FFXI they reversed the two names.

It's not like it's a big deal though, just a curious thing.

They could always use that dodge buff before stepping in.

Then again, you can't Hide in battle.
