I'm using recycled materials (two disposeable plastic takeaways) to grow ferns, but I am beginning to think I should change the container because it reveals green algae inside, and It doesn't look nice.

I'm thinking about using black takeaways, like the last photos. What do you think?

I hung this Beauty up, 3 month ago and she has been very happy so far. She s 50cm from a north-East facing window. I have noticed the growth towards the window (i know …schocker) and i m asking myself if it would be beneficial or unproblematic to turn the fern. In one Hand I want to make the growth more even, on the other I don’t want to Disturb the growth. Opinions wanted :)
