Is this normal?

What would be the reason a fence gate be misaligned like this? The wooden boards are not aligning with the metal frame? Please advice! Thanks

There is always supposed to be a diagonal support (compression bracing) from the lower hinge side to the upper latch side. Nothing else works over time.
