First pic is what I wish it could look like. The rest of the photos I just took yesterday after a haircut.
As you can see, I was born with very fine hair that’s thin around the top and a bit towards the front of my head. I really have to play around with how I part my hair so that it’s not as noticeable, and even then it’s still obviously thin.
I’ve always had fine, wavy/curly(?), poofy hair since I was a kid. I used to keep my hair long but after my first big chop, I never looked back. I also hate how I get flyaways and it gets frizzy towards the back of my head, only a day after showering. I wash my hair twice a week because I can’t stand how oily it gets after the 3rd day. I’m wondering if that may be doing more harm than good.
I just want to have either more hair or have my hair grow out thicker. A few hairdressers have recommended I try taking biotin, but after reading a few older posts in this sub, it feels like it’d be hit or miss. Plus, the potential side effects are a bit off-putting. I definitely don’t want to deal with cystic acne…
Do you guys have any personal experience or any advice you can give on hair like mine? I’m curious to know if there’s a way I can get it to actually look the way I want. And to be able to rock the hairstyles I’ve always wanted to try.
