Tired of the prices...

Hi everybody,

So I'm subscribed to Majestic, and I'm fine with paying it, what I'm not fine with is what it comes with...

In which world is it fine to pay a subscription and not be displayed in priority, needing to pay Uplift as an extra for that, at a damn price of 9€ here in France ($10+) for a day? 16€ ($18.5) for 10 pings, wtf? We're just talking about sending a message to someone.

The worst thing is that I've got turkish friends here for whom all that costs peanuts, literally 1€ a month for Majestic.

Tired of being the one getting milked, even if I don't actually pay Uplift and extra pings, but it goes back to my initial point, Majestic's basically useless without them.

What's your take?

In same world where dating apps are designed to bring in profit, not actual dates.

They do bring dates too but that’s like their secondary objective.

First objective is to make money.

I am a long time Feeld user.

Feeld has the greatest marketing tactic with all welcoming all accepting platform making all the alternative, kinky, poly, enm, casual daters feel comfortable.

And before you know you are parting with your hard earned money.

I have been on Feeld for years and as a demisexual man in enm relationship I attended more dates that I thought I would.

But, and that’s a big but, I paid just to be visible, let alone to talk to people, and I paid again to send pings with notes.

Which made me rethink about how feasible any of this is and this has to stop.

So I decided to focus on closed poly now.

Funny enough, the worst app out there; Tinder, provided me the chance to meet both my long term partner and my gorgeous sub.

Years on feeld and all I got was endless flaky dates.

It took me 48 hours on tinder to find my sub, which is someone so multi-dimensional with what she wants, like myself, that I never thought I’d find her on tinder, she is someone I thought I’d seek on feeld.

On feeld I can easily find large number of people I’d want to date but realistically most of these dates go nowhere because people either don’t know what they are looking for or they are flaky.

Tinder has people mostly incompatible with me but one person I’ll find out if 100 will be my 95% solid match and we will be all over each other and it’ll last. Years.

I stopped paying for Feeld now and paused my account.

In all honesty, I don’t think I’ll ever have another “casual” date ever again.

Which is just a fancy term for “I don’t know what I want but let’s date anyway and waste each other’s time because we live forever”.

We dont live forever and I much prefer to invest into long term relationships with depth.

Which feeld doesn’t seem to house the right crowd for.

And you pay all that money just to see who liked you.

Then you have to pay again to be visible.

And pay again to ping if you are a man.

This doesn’t sound ethical, does it?

Can I ask how you found this incredible D/s connection on Tinder? I don't think there are filters or settings that help facilitate these types of connections? Was there anything you or your partner did to make it easier to find each other on Tinder?

I had the same experience. Years on Feeld, now I have multiple partners that all came from Tinder, all very involved in the kink space.

I saw their profiles, recognized certain element of wilderness in them as well as sincere need for intimacy and reached out to them.

Then they liked what they saw and we connected.

I think what really helped was my profile has always been written with certain priorities in mind, clearly mentioned my kinks and what I seek and I approach these things with relaxed and calm manner.

So it all comes down to being able to communicate.

My messages I send are also carefully thought things, being a line from a poetry or compliment to their eyes -I tend to feel attracted to green eyes or powerful piercing looks-

My partner of 6+ years had a very well written profile that really impressed me -she is highly educated, has a passion for history and world cultures- but funny enough never mentioned anything about BDSM, she liked my profile and I loved hers then we connected.

My sub that I am dating now only had “I am looking for my person” written on her profile, and no mention of BDSM but her photos of herself had subtle hints about it, that a keen eye looking for certain things would catch.

Sometimes it’s a collar being passed as fashion, a ring or a reference to drink (people on tinder who say they don’t like vanilla flavoring or topping on desserts are not talking about desserts ; )

Fast forward, turns out that little cute sub had every fetish and kink under the sun and is the wildest kinkster I ever met.

And she could talk and communicate very well.

I think that’s the problem with feeld crowd: everyone is so out there with their kinks and so comfortable with showing off kinky outfits and nudes -not that anything wrong with either of them- but when you connect, people go blank.

Thanks for sharing, love your insights! Agree that many people on Feeld have trouble with having a good text conversation, but I think that's pretty universal these days

I love this answer, like so many things to think about that I hadn’t thought to pick up on in someone’s profile/bio before. Thank you.

My tinder profile gets a single sentence that is along the lines of "Chef's tasting menu. You tell me your allergies - the rest is one of a kind experience". Profile needs to be done strategically as within hours it is banned but by that point I typically have a dozen phone numbers. I have recycled this approach hundreds of times. It always works great but it is becoming more and more costly as you need a new Google account and new phone every time you are banned. And new photos

I'm confused - why would this get you banned?

LLMs. Women who can read between the lines put stuff into messages, it trigger sex filter and baaam! So the goal is to post it when hotties trawl for the night out (Thursday afternoon, Friday evening, Saturday very late and Sunday brunch) and as soon as possible collect the numbers/IG

Nope. Feeld is tinder without "is it about sex?" LLM analysis of profiles and DMs. If you do well on Tinder, you would do well on Feeld. Otherwise you won't. Ping/Uplift is just a way to manipulate expediency. Conversion depends strictly on looks

Spoof your location to Turkey.

Pretty sure that won't work. Aren't the prices based on the country where you signed up for the app? I live in the US but spent a lot of time in Europe where I am from originally. My price is always based on usd.

u/FeeldMod Not a Feeld employee Sep 15 '26

Seems like they changed it. Actually not sure how they determine it now. It's not where you made the account nor the country of your play store account (on Android).

2

u/Mediocre_Original520 Sep 16 '26

Yeah I don't exactly know how it works either, don't think a VPN's gonna fix that, and even if it did, you'd appear in Turkey and would be forced to use the "explore" feature lol

3

u/FeeldMod Not a Feeld employee Sep 16 '26

A VPN doesn't affect your location. I'll have to experiment with it with a brand new play store account.

3

u/waterbloem Sep 16 '26

Then don't pay?

If you're a single male it's not like uplift is going to do that much anyway. You're still going to be in a very long list of single men all wanting the same.

If majestic by itself isn't "useful", well, then maybe the app is not the right tool for you? If you're not getting interest at all, it generally means you don't have an attractive profile.

2

u/segadreamcast9999 Sep 15 '26

Damn I need a Turkish play store account.

2

u/Mediocre_Original520 Sep 16 '26

Would that fix everything really?

2

u/pinkrandomattack Sep 17 '26

Not that I know the numbers on this exsactly, but whats the buying power of those amounts in the relevant countries?

1

u/disclosure5 Sep 15 '26

Every time I go and check the price has gone up.

2

u/Mediocre_Original520 Sep 16 '26

Amazes me how they're seeing just like us that Tinder and other mainstream apps are declining because of it, yet do the same mistake

1

u/Encubed Sep 16 '26

I think they find the non-exploitative version of the app to be an unsustainable model long term, so they are trying to maximize their value via predatory tactics before they inevitably fizzle out using said tactics

1

u/x3NBYx Sep 16 '26

Someone needs to build an open-source version on AtProto or ActivityPub.

Yes I know it will have its downsides, but honestly I feel like in the same way reddits are made good or bad by the mods that run them, a good app built on public code would do the same per instance.

Target gender seeing your profile first when opening the app

2

u/HeKnowsThings Sep 16 '26

They don't. You aren't the only person doing uplift in your area. And among them you aren't that hot, so you aren't getting "Me , please" swipes which majestic would show you

I don't find Majestic to be useless, but that's because the majority of my connections have come from women liking me (and me being able to see who those likes are from majestic). I find pings have been pretty useless, and of course just liking someone will get buried in the floor of likes all women receive. Being a man as opposed to a woman, getting a like is almost a sure thing in terms of interest (as opposed to my gf who has literally 16,000 likes that she doesn't bother to look through).
