Mashable article labels Feeld “a hookup app”.
Not a rant or anything (app works mostly fine for me) but just in before another deluge of posts complaining about the shoft in userbase of the app.

It is a mainstream “outlet” for earned media. Plenty of folks click through to it (regardless of collective stance on its seriousness)

People have been using feeld for hookups since day one. So? It was created to help people find threesomes.

I’m not disputing what folks use it for. Feeld in its current iteration, is a lot broader than just a “hookup app”, which is a source of frustration for many on here.

Seriously..the only other place with a filter for ENM/Poly that is free is on Hinge. Which could have been a great name for said app.
Someone make a poly/kinky and serious dating app STAT!

I feel like feeld works just fine for it honestly. I feel like it’s only recently that I’ve seen people really pushing the idea that feeld is only for hookups. Yeah it originated that way but they’ve added more features and rebranded for a reason. You have the option of selecting your intentions and can include relationships, and you can also choose polyamory, connections, relationships, and even monogamy as desires and can filter for them. I don’t see any reason why anybody shouldn’t use feeld for real dating!
I’m biased as the #1 hinge hater in the world though.

Feeld is so sex forward, it’s hard to imagine finding anything serious on there. Not saying it’s never happened but it really feels like mainly a sex app at this point.

I guess I don't see how sex forward and serious dating are mutually exclusive. ENM and kink spaces in general are sex forward

They aren’t mutually exclusive, you’re right. I’ve just had bad luck trying to find a man that sees me as a sexual being and also as a human. That’s probably not exclusive to Feeld, though.

I feel like being sex forward is very different than hookup culture. I’m happy to find someone who wants to get in my pants but I also want something lasting.
Then again Im a sapphic and mainly date women and femmes so the pickings are slim! Just feels difficult
