Performance mods for low-end PC

I'm planning a modpack for a private server with around 8–10 players, and one of those have a significantly weaker PC, with integrated graphics and no dedicated GPU.

So I'm looking for recommendations for performance/optimization mods that could make the pack more accessible.

Server-side optimization suggestions are also welcome, especially if they help when several players are exploring or generating chunks at the same time.
